"I'm starting to think that Genesis is another word for POKE." -Königbreaker

If you've stumbled in from Google, this is a series of explanations of and rambles on the bio of a spoof Mary Sue character: Shijuukara Famiron. Don't read it if you want to find the references and jokes first yourself!

Overall Thoughts

I set out to do a spoof that looked like it was done by a reasonably intelligent fan - one that at least knows what a spellchecker is and would make an attempt at getting their universe right before warping it. I think too many Sue spoofs forget that the people making the Sues usually are fans, and if they can spit out purple prose they have to have some grasp on grammar. I also let some of my own style show through for self insert-flavored goodness, instead of trying to go more over the top like I'd planned.

I think it ended up getting a bit of a life of its own - this time it's the Liger that wants to stick with me, not the pilot (Shineryuu) or the organoid (Mach and Deylure). Whoops.

Speaking of which - yes, there's no organoid. This is meant to be a Genesis Sue, and organoids are so CC/GF.

Names

Shijuukara (四十雀) means chickadee. Yes, chickadee. I found it working on an abandoned spoof Murasame bird fusion critter, the idea being to find a bird that sounded badass if you didn't know any Japanese, but was actually something cute. On an odd note, what my dictionary calls "chickadee" is actually a species of tit (either Japanese or Great depending on who you talk to), not the Black-Capped critters we get here - though they are from the same family and possibly genus (again depending on who you talk to). This was not an intended joke, but is funny nonetheless :p.

Mugenshousuu (無限小数) means infinite decimal(s). Yes, decimals, dammit. This is why not to wait until the last minute to name anything - I got sick of things involving combinations of the three Ligers' names, and finally said oh, stuff it and went for the first odd thing that came out of the dictionary when I threw "infinite" at it. It's not totally random, if one wants to justify it post-dictionary: the weight/length/etc. for the Liger was obtained through the averages of the three component Zoids, and includes some numbers rounded from infinite decimals. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Sonfuugen (村風限) Blades is just random readings on a kanji mishmash - village from Murasame, wind from Hayate, and limit(s) from Mugen. This is how not to name weapons, kids.

References

Shijuukara herself attempts to draw from lost royalty cliches, and is the daughter of two main Genesis characters, hence her last name.

The three great dragons thing is a bit of a confusion early on that seems to have persisted places, including Wikipedia. The Bio Seismo is from the days of concept sketches, the Liger from a fanart contest, and the Wyvern from rumors that never happened - or perhaps turned out to be Gildy. Don't ask me what the Wyvern looks like other than big and nasty, because I don't know. Yet.

I must confess that "Bio Ryuushi Hou" and "Saisei" are a blatant stab at my dislike of using romaji where a translation would do. It's a freakin' particle gun, call it a particle gun!

The Crystal Murasame is another blatant stab, this time at so many people insisting that the DVD box set ligers were Crystal (ignoring that Crystal is actually a fan term for the original three Clear Zoids), even after the boxes got out and they were clearly labeled Holotech - because, of course, Holotech must be a Hasbro-only term and Tomy must be wrong! It also sounds a bit like the Crystal Maze, and that's cool.

666 kph is how fast EL should have gone, Gilvy nod that it was...though Gilvy itself featured a not-quite-666 ref in its weight (333 tons).

Themesong is added as a take on people doing that for RPG bios. It's not meant to be a stab, though, 'cause I think themesongs are fun. I probably should have found something angstier, but playlist suggested Tragic Kingdom, so Tragic Kingdom it was. "What Is and What Should Never Be" (its other idea) was too obvious.

The True Form being unlocked by uniting/working with one's dark side is a nod to both Yu-Gi-Oh concepts and the Star Trek episode with the good Kirk and the evil Kirk. Yes, you heard me.

Gravity Cage is a real attack from my favorite Game Boy Color game, I just made up the description based on its cheesy in-game one and what it does and made it less crappy.

Art

GIMP is awesome. I couldn't have done the style of pic I did while scribbling to meet a deadline otherwise - openCanvas is too soft-feeling, Photoshop just...crumples with my amount of RAM...but GIMP is always here to save the day!

I'll color it properly someday.
