The Ruin of the Empire Army
In the face of the fierce assult of the Republic army's Mad Thunder, the Zenebas Emperor had realized his defeat in the fight. And, finally, the demonic decision/deal with the devil was set on him. That is, he'd sought reinforcements from the Dark Continent. Why was it a demonic decision/deal with the devil? The reason was the Dark Army do not stop fighting until they are exhausted and the enemy they attacked completely destroyed, and therefore are an army of fear. It was said the Dark Army coming meant the end of the Central Continent."If it cannot be mine...there is no way I can hand over the Central Continent to my brother, Helic."
The Zenebas Emperor's hatred toward the Helic president had become fanatical.
Farewell, Zenebas Emperor
The Dark Army came landing on the Central Continent, suddenly as if boiling up from the sea. There was the Tarbosaurus-type mecha, Deadborder, its whole frame wrapped in a black body and eerily glowing; and the iguana-type mecha creature armed with pointy teeth, Heldigunner. The large army commenced mercilessly destructive attacks with these mecha creatures. However, the Dark Army's attack target was shifted towards the Zenebas Empire's army, and they then attacked the Iron Kong Mk.II the Zenebas emperor piloted. The first lieutenant Störmer, young commander of the bodyguard, desparately tried to protect the Emperor, but the Emperor's Zoid was exploded, and sank to the bottom of the ocean. There was no one left to verify who had lived or died. And Störmer was taken captive...
Störmer and Elena
The Dark Continent was being controlled by the Guylos Empire. What did Störmer, who had become a prisoner of war, see? It was the Imperial mecha, captured by the Dark Army as if unharmed, and Elena, the Zenebas Emperor's daughter. The Guylos army had not just taken the Empire army's mecha and soldiers, they had captured Elena and brought her along with them to the Dark Continent. Just what was the Guylos Emperor's plan? Now, Störmer knew. The Guylos Emperor needed the excellent soliders and mecha of the Zenebas Empire's army."If you want me to spare this daughter's life, you will follow my orders! You will attack the Central Continent with me," the Guylos Emperor said in an eerie voice.
To achieve his dream of rebuilding an ideal Empire that he'd been holding for Elena, Störmer could not help but lend a hand in the Guylos Emperor's plan...
Terror Comes to the Republic
Meanwhile, the fighting on the Central Continent had ended, and peaceful days continued. But this peace was not what it seemed. Strange incidents were happening one after another on the continent. Solid ground cracked, plants withered, islands went out vanished, birds and other living things fled, and the continent itself gradually started to collapse. It was a young scientist, Shuu, who started to make the cause of this terrifying phenomenon clear.
Fly! Shuu
Shuu found that the key lay in the pitch-black army corps that had come attacking from the sea. In order to save the Central Continent, they would have to go to the Dark Continent...Shuu met with president Helic, got his approval, and was given the latest mecha. He and his trusted subordinates boarded the buffalo-type mecha Cannonfort and the pterosaur-type mecha Raynos, and departed on a scouting mission aiming for the Dark Continent.

Introducing the characters
(Tilly's note: Ages are as of 2049, not 2051, or Störmer would be being a bit impossible. For that matter, what is with his hair? It's not that...purple...on the catalogue version of that pic...)
Shuu
An optimistic scientist and a senior in the Republic Army, he's the second son of General Isaac. His older brother, Colonel Isaac Kendall, became a hero for his heroic death in the Blood Rock campaign. He follows the path of a scientist because of his father's strong influence.
Age: 15
Height: 168cm (5 foot 6)
Weight: 53kg (117 pounds)
Personality: A cheerful type whose spirit can't be crushed, his character's very tough. He rarely gets in angry moods. While he's an excellent scientist, the blood of the Isaac family can't be denied, and he has great ability as a fighter too. Though he's still young, his subordinates' trust in him runs deep.
Elena Muroa
A detirmined princess, Elena is the only daughter of the fallen Zenebas Empire's ruler, Zenebas Muroa. With her unyeilding spirit, she makes for an impressively clever learner. Brought up with great care by Zenebas, she can be selfish, but has a kind heart toward some people. She was adored by the people of the Empire, and liked by everyone. She and Störmer were raised together like brother and sister when they were young, and he opened his heart only to her.

Personality: A little selfish sometimes, but kind. While detirmined, she's emotional and has a sweet character. She's also courageous, though, and this makes her act boldly at times.
Störmer
A calm commander. He's the orphan of General Gambino, who became a hero of the Empire Army, admonished the Zenebas Emperor in the civil war of ZAC 2032, and then committed suicide. Störmer takes after his father, and is said to be the bravest officer in the Empire army. After Gambino's death, the Zenebas emperor took charge of him while he was still very young, and raised him as if he were his own. The Emperor trusts him deeply. An idealist, he's been holding the dream of building his own country along with Elena since he was young.

Personality: Calm and collected, keen-minded. Always cold, no one sees him smile.

Evil Emperor Guylos
His origins, age, true face, etc. are all unknown. His merciless, cruel fighting style is a thing beyond imaginaton. He will use any means to acheive victory.
These are the first-issue mecha of the Dark Army that attacked the Central Continent.
The dark mecha's greatest feature is the light-storing body in their black body, which shines eerily in the darkness. Its purpose is to take in a special material (Deochalcum) mainly found in the minerals of the Dark Continent as food (energy). When synthesized by the cells inside the body of Dark Continent lifeforms, this special material changes and becomes luminiferous. The energy accumulated with their light-storing bodies is used by weapons such as gravity cannons, laser guns, etc, and shows intense destructive power.
Deadborder
If one were to sum up this mecha in a single phrase, it would be that the mecha of the Central Continent have never experienced such incredible destructive power. Especially of note are the Gravity Cannons (G-Cannon) equipped on its back, which are said to destroy any kind of mecha in an instant with powerful energy accumulated in its light-storing body. For Shuu and company, collecting data on this destructive power is an important mission.
Hel Digunner
Suited to defense of the Bloody Gate, this mecha belongs to the coast and marine battle force. In the Triangle Daras, Hel Digunner has had a hand in sinking an uncounted number of mecha. The Republic scout mecha seem to have a hard time handling the combination of its fangs and Condensing Beam Guns. It lurks in the bottomless swamp, and unleashes a merciless attack on any enemies that trespass.
And what is the Dark Continent...?
All the mysteries of this continent have yet to be explained. Wrapped in thick clouds, the boundaries of this unknown continent are obstructed by the "Triangle Daras", a demonic ocean like spilled blood. The appearance of the creatures and mecha on its surface are a thing rarely seen, because they all are living in the darkness of this continent. Light is harmful to living things here. When they attacked the Central Continent, they left as soon as they'd taken the Empire army prisoner, since they disliked the bright light.
What are the Dark Continent's geographical features?
The entrance to the continent, a great swarm of stone pillars, is called "Bloody Gate". The meaning of its name comes from it being dyed with the blood spilled in all the battles that unfolded there. When one passes through this "gate of bloodshed" and the bottomless swamp stretching before it, one reaches a crevice called "Godcry" (because from the sky it looks like the mouth of a roaring god), 100 kilometers long and reaching 20 kilometers wide where it connects.Upon advancing further to the interior, "Devil's Maze" comes into view. The flat ground is scored into countless rows like tables, the depths complicated like a labyrinth. It is called "Devil's Maze" because it becomes impossible to escape when one loses one's way in this labyrinth. Though the Dark Continent is held under the rule of the Guylos Emperor, like the Central Continent before it was united by King Helic, many states' (without organized?) army corps control the Bloody Gate, Godcry, and the Devil's Maze. They keep fighting constantly, but through politics of fear using his great power, the Guylos Emperor is gaining total control over these army corps. The mecha of each corps boast outstanding destructive power, and the fighters are all reckless with a love for battle.
