Ahem. Anywayyy...even before all the sales and when I bought only Tomy critters, I still wanted one of these. Oh, sure, the red one's much more sensible...but there's something appealing about the blinding yellow ones. Team Tigers is probably to blame.
I've talked about building Saber Tiger...twice. So there isn't much to say here, other than that by now I could pretty much build the thing from memory, and I barely looked at the instructions. The plastic quality was good, the yellow really blinding...that sort of thing. I wish I knew where my blue Sharpie got to so I could touch up the leg armor...
Did I mention this thing is blinding yellow? A lot of people complain the nose isn't black...I think it looks fine unpainted...and I know I'd end up detailing the whole thing and then wanting another one to keep stock if I painted it, so it's going to stay that way. The blindyness is slightly broken up by the black and the blue, so it's really not that bad. Very eye-catching amid other Zoids, though. Especially next to Saber Tiger and...that Zoid I said I wouldn't mention.
Other than the nose, it's very close to the anime one in color. Hasbro earns brownie points for that, even if they still should release the red one. It's one of their better US-exclusive color schemes, although I am a bit very biased...
