Red Wing (Zoids2 Redler)
I've always liked Redler. And the Zoids2 version is Redler in red...with some of the red bits shiny...and the wings translucent *orange*. How could I resist? These still show up on eBay every so often for okay prices...I got mine at the same time as my Hellrunner.Red Wing is pretty simple to build, like its regular Redler cousin. The chrome required more care, of course. Once together, Red Wing decided to channel Rocke's red Redler Bluey...and not walk worth a darn. I can't figure out why...maybe the motor is old, or an axle is a bit warped...I should try another Redler motor one of these days. Goodness knows it wouldn't be hard to dis-assemble Red Wing-when I was trying to fix the motor problem, one of the legs popped off :p.
While I don't really like CP-09 on the purple Redler for some reason, I think it looks good on Red Wing. I swear, it's not just because Bluey has one. Now CP-09 has a home, too, and can stop sitting around on my shelves all Zoidless.
Red Wing's decals are so tempting to put on...at least the shiny gold ones for the tops of the legs. Maybe I'll use them on a regular Redler, since gold and purple match well.
If you want a red Redler, Red Wing is probably the easiest red Redler variant to find-not that any of them are common. And those orange wings are just plain cool-and did I mention the gold pilot? Mmm, shiny...
