Pteras
Ah, Pteras...the Zoids anime's answer to Voyager's shuttlecraft (BOOM!) Poor thing. I got it along with some other stuff in an HLJ order, almost as an afterthought, and now I'm glad I did.
Pteras, whose name I typo way too often, comes in a small box with one of the cooler dioramas on the front, and with the typical Zoid-y parts in grey and blue...not the same grey and blue as Salamander, though-it's more of a Shield Liger-y blue.
Assembling Pteras was quite easy...it's a simple little Zoid, nothing fancy. It doesn't need to be fancy, though, becuase it looks neat and it works. Mine had trouble walking, but I took it partially apart and got rid of any rough bits on the little parts that move the legs/wings, and it worked just fine.
It walks along slowly but surely (well, for a windup Zoid), its wings moving up and down a bit. Unlike Salamander, Pteras' little individual wing bits don't move as its wings flap, but rather, you can pose them yourself, meaning that it doesn't take up as much shelf space as many other flying Zoids-it can 'fold' its wings.
The rest of my family thought Pteras was cute, and if you were going to call any Zoid 'cute', Pteras probably would be a good candidate. Awww, look at the little baby Salamanderrr...*watches hers run and hide in embarrassment* Come back! I was kidding!
