I know the box says Gairyuki in the English portion. I like my long vowels, allow me my little spelling variant? 凱龍輝 itself means something along the lines of "shining victory dragon". (And it's not that hard to spell, people.)

Come on, it's blue with translucent pieces. How can you not love it? Okay, how could I not want one? That's a better question.

A remodeled Berserk Führer at heart in booth Battle Story and model itself, Gairyuuki was joint project between the Helic Republic and the Guylos Empire (with some help from ZOITEC), and its ability to absorb beam attacks let them stop Seismo and its long-range CPC of doom.

That's nice, you say, but what's the model like? It's essentially BF, yes, but there are a good number of differences. I found it surprisingly different from its pointy lavender cousin. For one, the head is longer and redesgined slightly, so a complete armor swap is not possible. I believe the same is true for the backpack. The claws are different, and the armor, of course, is completely changed. Note also the lack of anchors/footlocks that most CPC-weilding critters of medium size sport.

Said armor can split up into a crab thing (Gekkou) and a bird thing (Hien), but I didn't bother. It looked so much nicer on Gairyuuki.

I don't know if it was time between building them or what, but I didn't find Gairyuuki terribly repetitive after having built BF-if anything, it felt almost like a completely new Zoid. The orange bits for the armor are a work of translucent-y art, practically...all angled to catch the light, they leave Gairyuuki sparkling slightly in all but the most dismal of conditions...and in sunlight, eee. The blue color is a very nice shade, like a collision between wedgewood blue and Blade Liger.

Other than mine having a habit of falling on its rear end, Gairyuuki's walk is the same as BF's-a simple stomp forward and move arms and tail a bit sort of affair. It does the foldy-armor-bits thing too, although the lack of armor on the lower half of the tail means that all you see there are the holders for the foldy bits.

If you've got a Buster Eagle, put the cannons on Gairyuuki. I don't care if the Eagle wants them, I don't care if Gojulas Giga wants them, they BELONG on Gairyuuki. I'll get some pics of this up someday. Honest.
