Site updates for 2009

I messed with the reviews section more, as I increasingly debate the merits of switching it over to Wordpress with myself. No new pictures, but there are now reviews/better reviews for Salamander (along with Bombvern), Gordos (NAR and OJR), and Seapanther.
I also made the About page a lot simpler a while ago and forgot to mention it.

...in my defense, I was writing. Someday, I'll finish that battle story fic. And look, OER fic! The games section is slightly updated, mostly to reflect a couple articles now on the wikia Zoids wiki thing. Now I just need to finish the starts of the OER section...

Well pants, there goes at least one update a month—though I did write stuff! Besides that, I've cleaned up some stuff in the reviews section (still a lot more to go), reorganized some image directories, and fixed up/added some links.

I worked on the Fuzors section, adding a couple images to the main page, some pictures (with more to come) to the character profiles, and Episode 14 to the summaries.
July 18th
My wrist hates me lately and I don't want to tempt the RSI demons, which makes compressing and cleaning up photographs...interesting. It doesn't keep me from writing reviews, though, so I decided to get the whole backlog I'd built up uploaded. Pictures will come later, but hopefully the volume of text will make up for it!
For the curious, the new reviews are Valga, Zeekdober (which actually has pictures), Orudios, Gungy, Graphics Helcat, and Reddra. Updated ones include Kingliger and Helcat (NJR).

So, the menu was falling over in IE 8 for reasons I cannot quite figure out. Yet—I'm working on it. For now, the second flyout bits are gone there (and only there, meaning that they work in 7 XD). If anyone knows wtf is up, please let me know.

Messed with the menu. Now the battle story bit is less confusing, and the Fuzors and Reviews bits have more flyout action. Lemme know if they don't work for you (and you're not using IE 6).

I've gone on a video encoding kick (much to Luke's) dismay)...and I've realized what I was doing wrong all along with the /Zero DVDs. Have a copy of the /Zero ending that doesn't suck. ♥ Detelecine.
The menu now has popout stuff for the links sections. Yay?

Ahh...Nurse Chapel's...sweet summary.
This is how I go slowly mad. Note that dialogue is very often transcribed directly, so there's a lot of pause, type, back to check, repeat involved...and then I have to HTMLify the ruddy things. I also took some more Fuzors screenshots and added lyrics and a few icons. The Fuzors index page itself has better navigation, too.
Take a wild guess what I've been watching lately. Besides Macross and Space Battleship Yamato, I mean.

The Fuzors section now matches the rest of the layout and has a bit of new content, mostly in the form of mostly-finished character profiles and a properly linked icon section. I'll get the summaries reworked and finished...sometime.

Besides a few links page additions, I have a somewhat rough translation of the Gorhecks Fanbook Ex online, finally! I also cleaned up the HTML and a few weird errors in the Jet Falcon one.

I hate thumbnails. Do you hate thumbnails too? The Reviews page is still getting fixed up (beware occasional broken links), though rewrites make it slow going. At least everything should be on the new layout now, let me know if you spot stray pages (other than the Fuzors section).
I moved the filesharing versions of the music videos to Sendspace a bit ago after Megaupload's ads kept trying to drop spyware.

There is writing. THERE IS WRITING. Some of it is even new...ish.
The reviews are now split by catergory. With thumbnails. I'll be adding more, so's you don't have to stare at the No Picture stickliger to eternity :D.
January 12th
Amazing, the third update in 2009 and still January? I'm going through a lot of the main pages on the site and cleaning up the code (so many incorrectly used paragraph tags!), next up are the directories. I'll be putting in the new layout code in those as I polish 'em. Still need someone with the IE 8 beta to double check something in reviews for me before it goes online (drop me an e-mail). Come on, I'll give you cookies~.
The commercials page now has a decent encode of the DA Lizards promo, and some of the music videos are finally back.
January 9th
New layout appears to be successfully applied to pages in the main directory. I'll get it elsewhere soon, and could still really use an IE 8 tester.
The adoptable Gilvies have a new visitor, and the links are entirely redone, with a few new sites, new buttons, and a split into categories. Far as I'm concerned, when linkbanners are giving broadband pause, it's time to have more than one page ;p.
January 2nd
Happy new year—from England! I'm here until the 19th, while a backlog of Zoids to build piles up back in Wisconsin. Ahaha, Lidier.
I should have that new layout up soon, once I make a few gateway pages for stupid browsers IE 6 and figure out if the reviews are getting a full overhaul or just thumbnails. More interestingly, the games section is updated, both with a very silly Legacy page and a proper section for Silver Zero at last. The JF pages are still out of date, but that's progress.
I also fixed up the code on all the site update pages, and added a 2009 one. Hopefully I will have more this year than last ;p.
